#10809 Pre-Order

Posted CC_Sly on 01 December 2015 - 10:33 AM

Hey guys - just got back from Holiday - a note about  the pre-orders:

While we did not get pre-orders themselves - we will get access to all of the pre-order material, we just need to finish setting up the store first!

Posted Arrowfoot on 15 April 2016 - 04:58 PM

They never advertised it, it was always like an after thought. You see all kinds of free games advertised,  but I have NEVER seen any kind of ad for this. This game screams for mobile play, but instead they stick with that P O S mobile game they have. So many things could have been done to turn this game around, if any one at WG cared, but they are to busy with WoT2 and other game to give this one any attention. I will play some of their games, I will never again spend any money on any WG product and every night before my head hits the pillow I will ask the good lord above to close the doors on WG forever. Have a nice day.

Posted Arrowfoot on 15 April 2016 - 04:16 PM

That's just great......Thanks for all you guys did, now go away.  I feel so much better knowing it was a hard choice for the to make, but not hard enough to refund money we put into the game or time... They could have worked on making a mobile game, but its just easier to screw us over. Another in the growing list of WG failures, and the people they hurt are just their customers and they don't really care.

#12528 when will this game come to andriod?

Posted lordawesome7 on 29 February 2016 - 04:11 PM

i could enjoy this game more easily on my phone like blitz but more convenient game-play, when is that going to happen?

#10406 Playing with your deck

Posted LkASr on 25 November 2015 - 09:11 PM

Since there are no newcomer's sections, I'll make a guide on decks.

There are 3 card types in a deck of this game; Tank cards (your army), Squad cards (your support), and Order cards (your special powers/spells)

All cards can fill in to your liking bonus abilities are activated if they fit to your nation or your deck's requirements.

Tank cards: They are the backbone of your deck. They play physically and use brute force on the battlefield. They also fill the role of resource managing, so if you see cards with jerrycans on the top right, it's best to place them in the battlefield as much as possible, though make sure you have the resources for them too and they're the most defensive cards in the game.

Squad cards: They are the foundation to your deck. They can either boost your HQ's attack or defense and they can also gain some resources too, but not as much as tank cards do. Basically, their role is a mix of tank cards and order cards, meaning they're the most versatile cards in the game. Make sure you read your squad cards because they're a bit more complicated to use.

Order cards: They are the firepower of your deck. They play magically and use whatever they can to bring your opponents down in the battlefield without getting counterattacked. Their resource growth are close to none and they mainly spend those resources on wreaking havoc in the battlefield. They're the most offensive cards in the game, yet a bit more complicated than squad cards.

In my card scale, the dominant density of your deck types may play like:

The most Tank cards: Fighter/Knight

The most Squad cards: Ranger/Thief

The most Order cards: Alchemist/Mage

Equal length: Jack of all trades

Deck types: There are 3 deck types; Consolidation decks, Assault decks, and Support decks.

Consolidation decks are the most defensive decks in the game, they mainly rely on resource managing and your HQ's defense. They fit best with Tank cards

Assault decks are the most offensive decks in the game, they mainly rely on mobilizing and striking quickly against enemy HQ. They fit best with Order cards

Support decks are the most versatile decks in the game, they mainly adapt to the situations they are on and have equal footing on various cards. They fit best with Support cards

You can actually make opposites in your deck like having more Order or Support cards than Tank cards in a Consolidation decks, but that's up to you which fits best.

Choose your cards wisely and play like you like it, good luck generals :)

Wot Generals is the least advertised game, in all of my time I have only gotten one email about the game and other wise would never have heard of it... not having a big player base is the cause of stopped production but tying wot missions or specials to this game would greatly increase players who try this game out

#12874 Reduce the search for battle screen size

Posted Gethreyn on 09 April 2016 - 12:17 AM

Title says it all. Why not reduce the searching for battle screen message. If it was say half screen or so then you could still edit decks, or look at the research trees. Or something, anything is better than being stuck in limbo as it currently is.

#11994 How come the RU region has resources and the NA region does not?

Posted ThANK_U on 31 December 2015 - 06:59 PM

Why even have separate regions for a card game?   Ping does not matter like in WOT, blitz, planes or Warships, and wait times would be significantly reduced, especially in off hours for NA.

#11971 Plugins overview

#10397 Needs revised tutorial

Posted Unitater on 25 November 2015 - 08:22 PM

I knew the game, since I had alpha tested, but from the few players I have faced they all said they were confused, and I can see why. Cards, each with different traits, odd tech trees, new premium tank systems, and squads can easily blindside players. Just a suggestion WG, you should revise the tutorial to be more in depth and user friendly.

#13162 End of the game coming Apr 2017

Posted Tpaktop2_1 on 10 October 2016 - 06:04 AM

I would rather have them sell the game to people that give a damn for games like this one. Such a waste of time and effort in supporting a good product to be ended this way. To me Russian faith is weak. It would have been better to have one server (player base) than the way WG did it by regions.

#13015 Add to Contacts List!

Posted CrazyRazor on 22 April 2016 - 04:26 PM

hey maybe we should do like a contacts list group for the die hards still kicking around

i know i like how AllPower5 messages me with whatever power he's got qued up. (makes for some good fights)

im currently grinding munche at 2k (cheapest deck to run as it only mercs luches)

and "grinding" is kinda tough to say cuz its not a grind if u cant find ppl to play

so pls if any one is ok with a few quick matches every once in a while add me! (the more the merrier)

Posted Mieter on 19 April 2016 - 12:20 PM

I agree a 100% with votato. The 0 amount of ads for WotG was just crazy. I've been here since alpha like most people who replied to this topic, let me tell you my experience with WoTG as a "farewell gift" to WG, maybe they will learn something, who knows:

I was pretty excited when I heard about Generals. Then I got an email that WoTG is recruiting peeps for Alpha and then Closed Beta. Great! I joined in, started playing, enjoyed the game even though it was a bit weird at first. Then a while later they announced that Closed Beta is over, you'll get a reward but not until it comes live. I'm like, ooookaaaay, sounds fishy but whatever. Then the NA server was closed for months and months and months, while EU/RU Open Beta'd... 'lolwut'?

I kept checking back and made sure that I was signed up for any news regarding the game (nobody sent me anything, by the way. No 'hey, we are still alive, testing is limited to this area, here are the patch notes just in case you were wondering', nothing). One day, the game was magically back up! lolwut 2!!! No emails, no announcements, nothing, it was just there. Now, months later it's closing time.

Protip #72: if you want a game to succeed, you should try advertising it. But you should know this since all the other WG games are plastered all over my google search results and my facebook wall.

Great game with immense potential (the last patch was wicked good), and ignored by the marketing department. Not cool, peeps.

Posted bane_of_yoott on 17 April 2016 - 05:03 PM

WG invests years of development into a game, then invests 0 into marketing said game, then abandons ship 6 months after release and wonders why people didnt play. theres a difference between a title failing because its awful, like WoWP, and a title failing because no one knows about it, because you didnt tell anyone it exists, like with WoTG.
